A lifelong band tailored to your lifestyle

Two-three paragraphs: A men’s wedding ring should be comfortable, robust and easy to wear every day. The right metal, width, profile and finish make all the difference—whether you want a minimalist band, a textured surface with character, or subtle diamond accents.

At MKR Jewellery Design, all work is completed onsite in Rosebud. We measure precisely, advise on metals and profiles, then craft and finish your ring by hand. With decades at the bench, we focus on true sizing, smooth edges and surfaces that wear well in real life.

From classic polished gold to a brushed platinum band or a lightweight titanium ring, we tailor the look and feel to suit your hand, your work and your personal style.

Choosing Metals, Widths and Profiles for Daily Comfort

Metal selection defines weight, colour and wear resistance. Platinum is naturally white, dense and highly durable, ideal for everyday wear. Gold offers timeless appeal in yellow, white and rose; 9ct is typically harder and great value, while 18ct brings richer colour and a premium feel. White gold is rhodium-plated for a bright finish and can be re‑plated over time. Titanium is exceptionally light and tough—popular for active lifestyles—though it has limitations for future resizing and complex repairs.

Width and profile affect comfort and style. Slim bands (3–4 mm) feel discreet; mid‑widths (4.5–5.5 mm) balance presence and practicality; wider bands (6–7+ mm) deliver a bold look. Comfort fit (a gently rounded inner surface) makes on/off easier and reduces pressure during long wear. Flat and low‑dome profiles offer modern, streamlined aesthetics; we’ll guide you on proportions that suit your hand and daily activities.

Custom Fit, Onsite Crafting and Aftercare

Bring any inspiration and we’ll discuss metals, widths and finishes that suit your lifestyle. We confirm your ring size with professional sizing tools and craft the band in our Rosebud workshop. If you and your partner want matching or complementary styles, we’ll coordinate profiles, metal colours and finishes.

Most men’s bands are completed within 2–4 weeks. After collection, we’re here for cleaning, polishing, rhodium plating (for white gold), and future adjustments where possible. We’ll also advise on care habits that keep your ring looking sharp for the long haul.

Frequently Asked Questions About Men’s Wedding Rings

Clear answers from our onsite jeweller to help you choose a comfortable, durable band.

Which metal is most durable for a men’s band?

Platinum is highly durable and naturally white, making it a top choice for daily wear. 9ct and 18ct gold are also excellent; 9ct is generally harder and cost‑effective, while 18ct offers richer colour and a premium feel. Titanium is extremely tough and lightweight, but is more limited for future resizing.
